- It’s a surprisingly simple tale, though told in a clever way. It’s so rich with detail and it’s enormous fun
- There is technobabble, but that’s largely a red herring
- The teaser looks like it was more expensive than the rest of the “back six” put together. It’s a visual and conceptual delight
- It does answer a lot of questions, but some old ones (from Matt Smith’s first series) are still left open, and some new ones are posed
- There are many, many glorious special effects sequences
- The denouement is bound to cause some debate. If you like the episode, you’ll be able to rationalise it, but if you don’t you’ll be going, “But hang on, in that episode…?” But that’s Doctor Who fandom
- You’ll discover a whole new meaning to the phrase “Live Chess” that has nothing to do with Harry Potter
- The Doctor wonders if he could be the fifth member of something
- Wi-fi comes in handy
- There’s the return of an old look for the Doctor
- There are some unexpected (truly unexpected) returning characters
- There’s a moving tribute to an old friend
- The Doctor offers and eye for an eye patch
- A big revelation may remind you of Little Britain
- There are some peculiar postmen
- Somebody’s portrait looks nothing like them
- The episode title may not be as much of a red herring as you might think. But then again…
- Bow ties are not just cool, they’re useful on occasion
- It’s a bit of a gamechanger
- The eye patch is explained

The Wedding of River Song Teasers
It turns out that as last year, Moffat isn't sending out preview DVDs to the press of the finale, but SFX have managed to see a screening, here's their teasers:

Teasers for Closing Time
SFX have released some teasers for Closing Time.
1 A slight and frothy episode with a bit of pathos and foreshadowing
2 And when we say slight, we mean slight – the SF plot is virtually non-existent and, unlike its sorta prequel (“The Lodger”), “Closing Time” doesn’t really have a charming, personal tale to tell. There are sweet moments, but no real story
3 Instead it’s more about looking for “telling” parallels and “pertinent” metaphors
4 Clearly the intention is to have some fun between the intensity of previous two episodes and the finale. It is very funny and witty, with some splendid Matt Smith moments but at the expense of virtually all else – there is no sense of threat at all, the monsters are comedy stooges and Craig – so great last time – is a little irritating here
5 However, the foreshadowing does give the episode some gravitas and the final scenes perk things up magnificently
6 There are lots of little “Oooooh” moments as unexpected elements click into place
7 Two people (and one of them’s not Craig) have very surprising career changes
8 There is a potential replacement for K9
9 Stormageddon
10 Freeze frame on a newspaper for some very amusing headlines
11 An enemy from the other side gets a mention
12 The Doctor repeats a line first uttered by Patrick Troughton
13 The resolution to the main plot is very cheesy, and even an attempt to de-cheese it doesn’t really work
14 The Doctor appears to have developed another new power which then mysteriously deserts him again when it would be useful
15 The Doctor is here to help, and has a badge to prove it
16 There’s a wonderful moment with the Doctor and someone his complete opposite under the stars
17 There’s the return of a familiar song
18 There’s the return of a familiar song
19 18 was not a mistake. Maybe it’s a double bluff
20 The Doctor has a smashing moment
21 Somebody’s confused between partners and companion

Teasers for The God Complex
Some teasers have been released for The God Complex:
- The episode doesn’t go for scares in the vein of Night Terrors. It’s more psychological. And strange
- “My name is Lucy Hayward and I’m the last one left”
- What is up with that gorilla?
- PRAISE HIM!
- David Walliams doesn’t have a lot to do and plays Gibbis for laughs really
- The Doctor takes a shine to someone. Has he already lined-up his next companion?
- Several classic and newer Doctor Who monsters make a cameo, but not in a way you’re expecting
- The Rubik’s Cube is back again
- The Doctor has forgotten his PE kit
- Weeping Angels fans will probably be disappointed with their appearance as it’s very brief
- “Pond, bring the fish!”
- The Doctor was once a cheese maker
- The ******** *e** will **** again
- If you’ve been avoiding spoilers, the ending will certainly come as a bit of a surprise!
- You might just find yourself tearing up for the second week in a row

SFX Teasers for Let's Kill Hitler
SFX has posted some teasers for the approaching episode, Let's Kill Hitler.
“Let’s Kill Hitler” is a dense, surprising, unpredictable, bonkers maelstrom of random ideas with so many standout moments it’s hard to believe it’s not a two parter
On the other hand, it may have worked better as a two parter, because one or two important plot elements seems to come to rather rapid conclusions. Indeed one could have been strung out into a season-long arc plot in itself
It certainly isn’t quite the episode you’d expect following “A Good Man Goes To War”
The excuse for trying to kill Hitler comes from a totally unexpected source
It’s very, very funny. Despite having a few massively dramatic moments, mostly it’s the comedy that’ll linger in the memory
The solution to one problem is pure RTD
The structure is pure Moffat
The banana agenda is back
The rest of the teasers can be viewed here.
15 Teasers for Let's Kill Hitler from the Whoniverse Blog
JOV97 of The Whoniverse Blog had the good fortune to attend the screening of Let's Kill Hitler, and shared some teasers for the episode (which will air on 27 August in the UK and the US):
- You can see who's looking into your eyes - but maybe you should be more worried about who's looking out of them
-It's the numskulls all over again
-"You will feel a tingling sensation, then death"
-A gene rationer throne
-The best line of the episode has to come from Rory - but you'll just have to wait and see...
