Night Terror's Trailer

Let's Kill Hitler has aired, making a fantastic start to the second half of Series 6.
Next week is Night Terrors, by Mark Gatiss.

The synopsis:

The Doctor receives a distress call from the scariest place in the Universe: a child’s bedroom. Every night George lies awake, terrorised by every fear you can possibly imagine – fears that live in his bedroom cupboard. His parents are getting desperate – George needs a doctor. Fortunately for George, his desperate pleas for help break through the barriers of all time and space and the Doctor makes a house call. But allaying his fears won’t be easy; because George’s monsters are real.

The Hidden Messages are Back!

During the first half of Series 6, the official website was running a feature of hidden messages in the Fourth Dimension, a collection of facts about the episode. Well, they're back for part 2.

Here's the message for Let's Kill Hitler:

“When reason slept
When mothers wept
When soldiers crept
The monsters came”

Look for updates on whether this feature will continue throughout part 2.

Title for Episode 13 is not The Wedding

A few days ago, the Daily Star speculated that the title for episode 13 would be The Wedding. It has been confirmed that this is not the case:

From their Twitter account: “The six stories are called Let’s Kill Hitler; Night Terrors; The Girl Who Waited; The God Complex; Closing Time; and something so secret we’re not allowed to say what it is yet. Sorry. It’s 5 words….”

It has been rumoured that the title will be announced tomorrow as The Wedding of River Song, will. This fits the five-word mark, although it is still unconfirmed.

Quotes from Let's Kill Hitler

Here are some quotes from Let's Kill Hitler:

Now loop the loop.

Doctor very lost.

I've been hiding for hours.

Anyone can tell it was a clever lie!

Prepare for tesselation.

We need to go later in his time-stream.

You see? Time travel, never goes to plan.

That blue box? We've got a match.

Let's get married.

Took me years to find you two.

Demons Run, remember?

I'm not Amelia Pond.

Let's Kill Hitler airs this Saturday.
Thanks to Time Dragon in the Vortex for the heads-up.

SFX Teasers for Let's Kill Hitler

SFX has posted some teasers for the approaching episode, Let's Kill Hitler.

“Let’s Kill Hitler” is a dense, surprising, unpredictable, bonkers maelstrom of random ideas with so many standout moments it’s hard to believe it’s not a two parter

On the other hand, it may have worked better as a two parter, because one or two important plot elements seems to come to rather rapid conclusions. Indeed one could have been strung out into a season-long arc plot in itself

It certainly isn’t quite the episode you’d expect following “A Good Man Goes To War”

The excuse for trying to kill Hitler comes from a totally unexpected source

It’s very, very funny. Despite having a few massively dramatic moments, mostly it’s the comedy that’ll linger in the memory

The solution to one problem is pure RTD

The structure is pure Moffat

The banana agenda is back

The rest of the teasers can be viewed here.

- You can see who's looking into your eyes - but maybe you should be more worried about who's looking out of them

-It's the numskulls all over again

-"You will feel a tingling sensation, then death"

-A gene rationer throne

-The best line of the episode has to come from Rory - but you'll just have to wait and see...

Let's Kill Hitler Prequel on Monday

The official website has announced that the prequel for Let's Kill Hitler will be released on Monday.

 From the site:

But stand-by for something that's different to the previous Prequels! This one bridges episodes 7 and 8 and reveals a little about how the Doctor and Amy are feeling following the events of A Good Man Goes to War.

The Prequel is written by Steven Moffat and so as you'd expect, it has humour, drama and a heart-breaking moment... Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are on great form in the short video which you'll be able to watch on Monday.

New Synopsis for Part 2

BBC America has released a new synopsis for Part 2 of Series 6:

The wait is almost over. The second part of the thrilling new series of Doctor Who will soon return. The truth about River Song is out and the time has come for the Doctor to face his greatest demons. Venturing across centuries and galaxies, the Doctor, Amy and Rory will encounter the greatest war criminal in all of history - and Hitler. Together, they'll discover there's no scarier place in the universe than a child's bedroom and a visit to an alien quarantine facility will reveal to Rory a very different side to his wife. In a hotel where walls move, corridors twist and rooms vanish, death lies waiting. But the Doctor's time has yet to come. He has one last stop to make on his final journey - an old friend needs his help and an old foe must be defeated. But time catches up with us all and the Doctor can delay no more.
By the shores of Lake Silencio, in Utah, all of time and space hang in the balance. And a NASA astronaut is waiting.

The 'old foe' could refer to the Silence, as it was shown they are returning for the second half of Series 6. Along this line, no air date has been given for UK viewers, although it is more than likely the date will be the same as BBC America, 27 August.

More on Episode 10

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan have given more information about part two of Series 6.

"I think it's my favorite title of the season so far," Smith said about Let's Kill Hitler. "Alex Kingston [River Song] is on fine fiddle through the episode. She is just brilliant in it. There are some great science-fiction moments where you are going ‘no way!'"

“[There's] this really cool robot/villain [that] goes back in time and fixes people that have done [something] wrong in history.” Karen said. This sounds sort of like a Reaper, from the Series 1 episode Father's Day. However, she could be talking about the Tessalector.

Matt Smith congratulated Karen on her performance in Episode 10, where something "really, really bad" happens to Amy, "And the Doctor is part of it."

The videos from the Comic-Con panel can be seen here.

Karen Gillan on Let's Kill Hitler monster, River's character

In an interview with Zap2it, Karen Gillan has revealed a few teasers for the next part of Series 6.

More on Let's Kill Hitler: "It's so good. The relationship between Amy and River is really explored, Alex Kingston gives an amazing performance, And there's a really interesting villain called the Tesselector (spelling unsure), and there's a really interesting concept behind that."

River's character: "[Her character] was as big a shock to me as it was to the audience," Karen says."Alex Kingston knew the whole time, the sneak."

The Amy/River relationship: "Motherhood would change any woman, so it's definitely going to be the same for Amy," says Karen. "We're just going to see that relationship really explored between River and Amy...and also, something really interesting happens to Amy, but I'm not going to tell you."

And on Amy's journey: "We met her as a child, we've seen her as a young woman, we've seen her run away in the Tardis, get married and now she's had a child," she says. "I would love to see her whole life play out, because we don't normally get that with a companion."
